I came to Alexa with some basic understanding of nutrition and had made some progress towards weight loss, but hit a plateau with my goals. Alexa is a phenomenal nutrition coach! Not only is she highly personable, empathetic, and knowledgeable, she understands how to apply her knowledge to an array of contexts and situations (e.g., training/weightlifting, life stressors that create nutrition and food-related behavior changes, overeating, etc.) that have impacted my nutrition journey. I’ve been working with Faith since August 2023, and have enjoyed every minute of it. My main goal when I started was to simply lose weight while not losing strength and to also improve my relationship with food. Faith has not only been able to help me do that but help me get STRONGER, proving to me for the first time ever that prioritizing my nutrition isn’t just about seeing a smaller number on the scale or looking a certain way.
I’ve struggled with my weight and I had a terrible relationship with food my entire life. I was constantly restricting and obsessing over food, my body weight fluctuating drastically, all because I was striving for an unrealistic physique that I thought I needed to achieve in order to feel worthy and beautiful.
Through weightlifting I found Cedars Nutrition. Faith’s personal experience with/background in nutrition struck a chord with me, so I decided to work with her. It was the best decision I could have made for myself. I started out as an 87kg lifter and am now a comfortable 81kg with aspirations to be in an even lower weight class. With proactive planning, I was able to seamlessly make weight and perform well in my last two competitions, hitting PR totals both times.
Since working with her, I’ve seen improvement in not only my physical strength and weight but my body image, relationship with food, energy levels, and how I feel about myself. Even better, I’ve been able to still live my life, enjoy foods I love guilt-free, AND make progress in more ways than one.
The mental shifts I’ve undergone are invaluable. I’ve never felt more confident, free, in-control, and empowered. I feel stronger and healthier than ever. What I see now is what my body is capable of in and outside of the gym if I fuel it the right way. Appearance is just a bonus.
Having the support of someone who understands the struggle of having a good relationship with food is extremely helpful and comforting. Faith is eloquent, knowledgeable, and kind. I find myself re-reading her words of encouragement to remind myself of my goals, but also because of how they’ve often warmed my heart.
I always feel supported and never judged, not just in my nutrition but in my training and any external factors that may be affecting it. The holistic approach to nutrition emphasizes that perfection all the time is unrealistic and that it’s normal to encounter unforeseen obstacles. I also love that Faith always points out the positives even when I don’t feel like I’m doing my best.
I actually had the privilege of meeting her in person during my most recent performance at the 2024 Arnold, and felt nothing short of what I feel through my weekly check-ins with her.
Clearly, I could go on and on about my experience working with Faith thus far and why I believe she’s so amazing. I’m only on the cusp of fully understanding what my nutrition can do for me and look forward to continuing to work with her. Working with Faith has been such a transformative experience. I initially thought I’d just be getting a macro plan, but it turned into so much more than that. I’ve learned how to truly fuel my body to support my training through different phases of life, while also keeping my priorities aligned. More importantly, my mindset around food has completely shifted. I’ve learned how to balance discipline with grace in a way that actually feels sustainable. 2025 threw a lot of curveballs my way. I was cutting weight, moved, started a new job, and qualified for the Arnold all within the same week. It was a lot to handle, but having someone in my corner who could help me stay flexible while still building strong, consistent habits made all the difference. Through it all, I’ve grown not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. My relationship with food, and my ability to give myself both accountability and grace have all improved. Having that kind of support through the ups and downs and major life transitions truly meant everything to me.

Working with Faith through two cuts and a maintenance phase has helped me build a much healthier and more sustainable relationship with food and training. I always felt supported, listened to, and never judged, even during harder weeks. The biggest impact for me was how well the coaching and planning fit into my busy career and frequent work travel.
